Next Group has been following this project since 2016: it has designed and produced three editions, constantly working on its format to improve and implement it. Next Group has established a real partnership with Sanpellegrino in the form of a continuous dialogue and an effective “four-handed” collaboration.
Onsite guests: chefs, media, international influencers, stakeholders, international management. Online target: food bloggers, foodies and fine dining enthusiasts who follow the challenge in live streaming and on social networks.
An event that evolves with each edition.
After worldwide selections among over 3,000 young chefs, the finalists cook their signature dishes under the supervision of their mentor-chefs. 7 starred Chefs from the 5 continents make up the jury of the “Seven Sages”. The energy of the kitchens is reproduced in a scenic and visual system that immerses the audience in the places of narration: the world, the kitchen, the chefs, talent, and brand values. The show is based on the power of images, which places each chef at the center stage, and on a screenplay which, in 60 minutes, tells the most emotional moments of participants and their mentors: the advancement and eliminations phases. The event culminates in a gala dinner created in each edition by the most prestigious chefs in the world. Guests are offered a true brand experience thanks to a journey through food and excellence.
An exceptional effort for a 10-month production and over 200 professionals involved.
The complexity of the event, designed to be enjoyed both by onsite guests and in live streaming by the general public, is underlined by particular production aspects. Tight timing and both events and television logics. Support offered to chefs in finding ingredients: a special platform allows communication with the organization that coordinates procurement and manages the entry into Italy of ingredients that cannot be found in our country. Complete logistical management of the event and a side journey through food and excellence dedicated to guests.
The demanding design and production work carried out by Next also includes the coordination of video production before and during the event. Many of the video contributions screened during the show are shot and edited in real time during the competition. For this reason, numerous pre- and on-site editing and graphics stations are set up for a team of over 60 people who work tirelessly to make over 10 films within 36 hours, which are then broadcast live during the final show.
