In addition, the city of Livorno which attends the fireworks display.

The idea was to create an artistic and hi-tech story to unite the Fortess and the ship, the harbor and the city, the Nordic spirit and the Italian character, with a breathtaking ending.

The Fortress hosts 7 installations on the role of stars in navigation and science, a parallel homage to Galileo and the Vikings.

The ceremony begins at night and is interrupted at the climax because the ax to cut the ribbon is missing. Thus begins a 6-scene show inspired by Nordic sagas, illustrated by a video mapping on the fortress and interpreted by 6 artistic performances.

The story tells of the liberation of the Sun and ends when the supernatural ax returns to the sky in the hands of a god. Soon after, a bright man actually flies in the night, around the ship, then lands on the prow and delivers the baptismal ax.

Fireworks follow, synchronized on the Symphony of Planets.
